We know it will take some a bit getting used to, especially those who still have a working VCR. But technology waits for no one. Like the Betamax, VHS is now a relic of yesteryear and despite our love for DVDs, things will start to change in the years to come. For us, it’s a matter of cost effectiveness in warehousing thousands of printed DVDs. As hard copies run out, we will have to make difficult decisions – we want to keep Gin’s workouts in circulation, but the cost involved with replication, storage and shipping is forcing us to allow some workouts to go out of print.
But the good news is, the next level of technology in streaming workouts from the internet onto your smart TV has arrived. It may take some getting used to, but it’s happening now. We’re ready when you are and we’ll be here to help you adapt! It’s not as hard as you think – just ask your kids!
We’ve got some titles up on Gin’s Uscreen TV store. We’ll continue to add titles and even tweak the chaptering to allow you to easily jump around to your favorite parts in each workout. Come 2015, we’ll be adding new workouts – even a few things from the past that just didn’t make sense to replicate as stand alone workouts. We’re also considering the addition of membership options and streaming live workouts!

A healthy, functional pelvic floor requires going beyond Kegels. Learn simple exercises that you can incorporate into your daily life that will produce a strong, supple, and balanced pelvic floor that is stable and able to support pelvic organs, prevent leaking, and allow for enjoyable sex.
Candice Goch, MSPT, E-RYT 200, RYT 500, RPYT will lead the workshop. Candice is passionate about integrating her Western medical knowledge with the healing powers of yoga to help individuals of all ages prevent pelvic floor dysfunctions.
The experiential workshop will consist of an interactive lecture on the pelvic floor anatomy and function, along with instruction in effective exercises to prevent and/or correct the most common dysfunctions.

Gin has long lamented that the ability to pull from above was the one element missed in most group strength training programs. So when the Gin Miller Fitness Studio opened a little over a year ago, the T3 Life Tree became the centerpiece of the program. In researching the options, Gin decided to go with what we now just refer to as ‘the tree’. A solid piece of equipment made by BodyCraft, the T3 Life Tree is a sleek chin bar that comes equipped with many options for pulling, pushing, hanging and dangling. And from the basic elements, Gin has added a few of her own devices.
The program has been developed to accommodate all levels, so if the thought of hanging upside down from your knees makes your head swim, no worries. For the deconditioned and/or feet-on-the-ground types, there are lots of options to get your workout. Run mostly as a circuit, strength moves are interspersed with cardio and at the end, you’ve hit it all.
We have been running classes as 6 week small group training sessions and our clients are loving it! But to make it easier for more to join in on these fun and challenging workouts, we are now transitioning to a pass system. This will provide greater flexibility and convenience (and fill a few empty trees) and you can now purchase a pass and schedule your sessions online through our new reservation system.
If you are a returning client, we encourage you to go ahead and get the 18 class pass ($15 per class) and schedule in your regular time slot for the next 6 weeks. If you are interested in checking out the program, you can now go online to find openings and join us. Rates range from $20 for a single class to our best deal with the 18 class pass.

Gin Miller Fitness Studios offers small group personal training that is individualized to meet your unique fitness needs. Clients may participate in our regularly scheduled, pre-programmed sessions; book customized sessions for a group of their own; or reserve private personal training sessions with trainer of their choice.
Designed to optimize your fitness level in a matter of weeks, the Get Fit Series utilizes a FULL BODY CIRCUIT (FBC) - incredibly unique and effective because every movement pattern uses all four limbs and the trunk simultaneously. Using an apparatus called the T3 LIFE TREE, Gin has put together an ingenious series of exercises that works every possible muscle group at the same time, for the most efficient workout possible. This type of training, called “systemic” fitness, uses bracing and engaging muscles to HOLD the body while other muscle move in infinite angles of resistance. In short—the more muscles used, the more calories burned. You’ll work WITH and AGAINST gravity to develop a wickedly strong and resilient physique all your friends will admire. A cardio and strength circuit training program specially designed for seniors and those new to exercise. This is the beginning level in our Get Fit series. This low-impact, safe and easy- to- follow session helps improve balance and posture, build and maintain functional strength to support normal daily activities, increase cardiovascular fitness, and maintain a healthy weight. Trainer will provide modifications for all movements so they can be easily adapted to fit each client’s fitness level and comfortable range of motion. Novice to Beginner level 1 clients
A strength, cardio& core training program designed for participants used to exercising moderately. Workout targets the entire body, focusing on building strength, power, balance and stability by replicating natural movements such as pushing, pulling, lunging and squatting. Super-effective training that allows individuals to enhance personal fitness and performance levels. Designed for level 2 clients.
Intense, focused, efficient, challenging and rewarding, this interval training circuit session combines high intensity cardio and heavy strength training segments. You’ll combust major calories, burn the maximum amount of body fat, and increase muscle strength and endurance. Expect to work hard and see rapid results. Designed for level 3 and higher clients.
Level 1 clients –2 hours/week–12 sessions total $240.00

Express Circuit: A quick 45-minute total body conditioning circuit including cardio, strength and core training exercises. This session is designed with three versions of each movement pattern, so participants can work at their own appropriate level of intensity . A super effective, goal-oriented full-body workout designed for all levels of fitness.

Swing Yourself Fit is a uniquely Gin kettlebell workout featuring 3 short workouts that, when combined, add up to one fast-blasting, core-focused, dynamic cardio and strength workout. The short workout segments utilize a variety of kettlebell weights - light for the upper body(up to 5lbs), medium for the cardio (up to 8 lbs) and heavy for the lower body(up to 12lbs) kettlebells. Gin uses Empower’s new Adjustable Kettlebell which will be available in Target stores in September and this workout will be the inbox for the product.
The Gin Miller Productions version, available for those who already own a variety of kettlebells, offers 2 bonus playlists: one to Play All of the short workouts in a non stop sequence and the 2nd which changes the order for an increased challenge. The original sequence plays Warm-Up, Cardio, Upper Body and then Lower Body ending with a Cool Down. In the alternate sequence, we switched Upper and Lower – after the Cardio, performing the Lower first, then going to the Upper will be a bit harder. Of course you can also choose to mix and match the workouts to suit your own needs and time limitations.

Molli has recently completed her first triathlon since being diagnosed and she won first female overall in decisive form. She swam, biked and ran at paces consistent with her level before cancer, which showed that her fitness is coming back. It was a great celebration at the award ceremony, and it was really a tearful return to the top of the podium – where she belongs.
Molli’s story was submitted to Ironman in hopes of Ironman granting her a slot to the 2012 World Championship. Her story made the finals. She is not on yet as there is one final round of voting, and she needs your help. Please vote. Pass it on to everyone you know and have them vote. Salsa Walk – Fitness expert Gin Miller adds just the right amount of Latin flair to this 35 minute low-impact walking workout. Starting with the basic “salsa walk”, Gin teaches easy-to-follow floor patterns that will spice up your cardio workouts. I have been diagnosed with PTSD. Salsa Walk has got me moving and along with some good nutrition i have got my energy back.
